Jake Wisely is CEO of The Bicycle Music Company, the music publishing division of Concord Bicycle Music, based in Beverly Hills, New York and Nashville.
Wisely oversees all aspects of the company, including the creative operations, business affairs, licensing and administration of Bicycle’s growing catalog and roster, which spans a wide range of eras, genres and territories. It includes the works of George Harrison, Andrew Lloyd Webber, John Fogerty, Trent Reznor, Glen Ballard, Marvin Hamlisch, Robert Johnson, Daniel Lanois, Cyndi Lauper, Joan Sebastian, and Dwight Yoakam, among many other classic and contemporary songwriters and composers.
Wisely is an equity partner in Concord Bicycle Music, which also includes the Concord Music Group and its label imprints: Concord Records, Fantasy, Fearless, Kidz Bop, Loma Vista, Razor & Tie, Rounder and Stax, among other classic and contemporary labels. Concord Bicycle is a partner with Andrew Lloyd Webber and his Really Useful Group in The Musical Company, which offers stock and amateur licensing, publishing administration and marketing and distribution of cast recordings.
Wisely is a member of the California Copyright Conference, the NMPA’s Independent Publisher Advisory Council and he sits on the Board of Directors of the Association of Independent Music Publishers (AIMP) and the Independent Music Publisher Forum (IMPF).
He was Director of Membership at ASCAP and has worked in the creative departments of both EMI Music Publishing and Universal Music Publishing. He was also Director of Artists, Labels and Soundtracks at eMusic.com.
