Jake Wisely is Chief Publishing Executive of Concord Music, where he oversees the recently consolidated music publishing operations of The Bicycle Music Company and Imagem Music Group, including Boosey & Hawkes, Rodgers & Hammerstein and Tams-Witmark Music Library.
Wisely is responsible for all aspects of Concord’s music publishing business, including the creative operations, business affairs, licensing and administration of Concord’s growing catalog and roster, which spans a vast array of rights, eras, genres and territories. It includes the works of George Harrison, Irving Berlin, Daft Punk, Andrew Lloyd Webber, John Fogerty, Aaron Copland, Trent Reznor, Glen Ballard, Mark Ronson, Igor Stravinsky, Lionel Richie, Marvin Hamlisch, Pink Floyd, Robert Johnson, Max Martin, Cyndi Lauper, Joan Sebastian, Dolly Parton and Steve Miller, among many other classic and contemporary songwriters and composers. Concord maintains music publishing offices in Beverly Hills, Nashville, New York, London and Berlin.
Wisely is an equity partner in Concord Music, which also includes the label imprints: Concord Records, Fantasy, Fearless, Kidz Bop, Loma Vista, Razor & Tie, Rounder and Stax, among other classic and contemporary labels. Concord is a partner with Andrew Lloyd Webber and his Really Useful Group in The Musical Company, which offers stock and amateur licensing, publishing administration and marketing and distribution of cast recordings.
Wisely is a Director on the Boards of the National Music Publishers’ Association (NMPA) and the Association of Independent Music Publishers (AIMP). He is a member of the California Copyright Conference
He was Director of Membership at ASCAP and has worked in the creative departments of both EMI Music Publishing and Universal Music Publishing. He was also Director of Artists, Labels and Soundtracks at eMusic.com.
