NMPA Hires New Vice President, Senior Counsel

WASHINGTON—The National Music Publishers’ Association today announced that Danielle Malito Aguirre has joined the organization as Vice President and Senior Counsel. Aguirre will supervise all litigation, including Copyright Royalty Board proceedings, from the NMPA’s Washington, DC, headquarters on behalf of the organization and its more than 2,700 member publishers across America.

Aguirre is currently an Associate in the Litigation Department of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton and Garrison LLP in Washington, DC, where for the past nine years she has litigated cases on behalf of corporate clients in federal and state courts, before arbitration panels and mediators, and in proceedings before federal agencies.

“We are pleased to welcome Danielle to our team,” said NMPA President and CEO David Israelite. “She brings extensive and diverse experience in every aspect of litigation and legal strategy. I am confident she will be a great addition and serve the music publishing industry well.”

Aguirre received her JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and her BA from Georgetown University. She is a member of both the New York and District of Columbia bars.
