Jim Selby
Jim Selby rose to the position of Chief Publishing Executive at Concord after servicing as General Manager overseeing Label Shared Services to his most recent position of COO. Born and raised in Canada, Selby spent 16 years at Naxos of America, where he was CEO from 2007 to 2014. He then joined Ole Media Management as the publisher’s first SVP of Digital. Selby is a past member of the A2IM Board of Directors, where he was Chairman for two years, and has enjoyed direct involvement in more than 35 GRAMMY® Award-winning projects.
Since the late ’90s Selby’s career has included involvement in landmark deals such as the launch of the iTunes Store, YouTube’s agreement with independent record labels and publishers, licenses for the first subscription services including Spotify and Rhapsody, apple music, apple fitness, Peloton, Amazon and Youtube music, Facebook as well as direct deals with SiriusXM and Clearchannel.
Selby oversees Concord’s global publishing business including supporting its creative efforts with its active songwriters and composers and supporting its legendary roster of songwriters and deep catalog of songs.
