NMPA Announces Top Gold & Platinum Honorees for May 2019

WASHINGTON, D.C. – NMPA today announced the top songwriters, publishers, and 490 certifications of hit songs for May 2019 as part of its Gold & Platinum Program.
In partnership with the RIAA’s Gold & Platinum Program, NMPA finds and certifies the songwriters and publishers of RIAA-certified singles. RIAA counts both sales and on-demand streams towards its Gold (500K), Platinum (1M) and Multi-Platinum (2M+) thresholds. Thousands of songwriters have been recognized since NMPA’s program began in 2007.

The top songwriter is Meek Mill (Warner/Chappell) with fifteen certifications: 1942 Flows, 24/7, Bad For You, Burn, Fall Thru, Jump Out The Face, Levels, Monster, On Me, Uptown Vibes, and Whatever You Need certified Gold; Dangerous, I’m A Boss and Litty certified Platinum; and R.I.C.O. certified 2x Multi-Platinum.
